Our Story

Although Suzanne enjoyed much professional success in New York she never let go of her dream of bringing her talents home to New Orleans. After thirteen years in New York City, Suzanne was ready to move home. Suzanne had scheduled Noah’s Ark Moving and Storage to pick up her things for the long haul move on August 31, 2005. Little did she know the “moving” would become “storage.” Katrina’s devastation only intensified Suzanne’s desire to move home and to make a difference in the city she loves. The plans to build a business in New Orleans were delayed but not destroyed.

Katrina brought thoughts of change to Jenny Aschaffenburg Williamson. After spending twenty years on a retail sales floor with such notable establishments as Maison Weiss in Jackson, Mississippi, Saks Fifth Avenue, and MiMi in New Orleans, Jenny was up for a new challenge. After recognizing Suzanne’s creative talents years ago, “It was an easy decision for me to become Suzanne’s business partner and to assist her in what I believe is a very exciting venture.”

Suzanne and Jenny first met in the spring of 2003 in the Vera Wang design studio in New York City. Suzanne, a member of Vera’s design team, was working on a new couture bridal sample. Jenny was in New York for bridal market for MiMi’s Vera Wang shop in shop in New Orleans. Jenny and Suzanne would see each other frequently in New Orleans and New York City through professional circles.

With the opening of Suzanne Perron, New Orleans, on Magazine Street, these two young talents are hoping to build a world class bridal atelier that will draw cliental from across the country. Suzanne is committed to training and employing local talent and sharing her industry experience locally. Selling the design services of Suzanne Perron will come naturally to Jenny, who was Suzanne’s first local bridal client. “Suzanne brings a bride’s dress from sketch to completion with as much perfection as a fine piece of art.” Jenny married Tim Williamson of Ideavillage on June 3, 2006.
